Ms. Clarke was physically attacked by a student during class, and while the student was expelled, she struggled with post-traumatic stress. Stand with Teachers not only provided her with access to therapy but also introduced her to a network of other teachers who had survived violence in their classrooms. Through this community, Ms. Clarke felt understood and supported. The organization also worked with her school to improve classroom safety measures. With Stand with Teachers by her side, she eventually returned to teaching, feeling more supported and less alone.
